Qualifications / Job experience

• Training in a hotel or restaurant.
• Job experience as a steward.
• Good knowledge about products, classic service standards and restaurant operations.
• Good command of German and English language.

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the service in the assigned working area and according to instructions Maitre d’, Headwaiter
• Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
• Set up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely manner.
• Clean, organize and maintain designated service station and prepare mise-en-place to ensure that the station is ready when required.
• Careful handling of all work equipment and appliances his/her/diverse station
• Provide attentive and personalized service to ensure that guest requests are fulfilled promptly.
• Ability to communicate orally and verbally in German and English with employees and guests.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and ship property used to complete assigned tasks.
• Minimize breakage and loss of all equipment and use only authorized chemicals in an approved manner.
• Respect always fellow colleagues and cooperate with all management decisions.
• Willingness to taste the food and drinks associated with the menu and willingness to participate in all planned training and menu briefings.
• Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction always and ensure that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management
• Strict adherence to all agreed regulations (USPH/HACCP, ISM/ISO, SQM, Company standards), especially regarding security, environment and hygiene regulations in his/her area of responsibility.
